Crowdsourcing platforms can leverage mobile and embedded technology for gathering more user data to make data-driven decisions at the system level, particularly for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Vehicular Social Networks (VSN). Advancements in mobile, spatial, and passive sensing crowdsourcing techniques, improved connectivity, higher throughput, and smart vehicles containing many embedded systems and sensors, and novel distributed processing techniques make these systems feasible. These crowdsourcing systems can significantly enhance transportation systems by providing more data on infrastructure health, navigation pathways, and congestion management.
Robotics is a rapidly evolving domain, I had the opportunity to lead and deploy multiple applications: construction, the disabled, the factory floor, military land vehicles, driving assistance systems and connected autonomous vehicles.
Involved in multiple industry led international endeavours in partnership with academia, industrial conglomerates, SMEs, start-ups; in South-East Asia, France and as part of EU projects.
Working with centres of excellence and graduate students to be in touch with the state-of-the-art.
Interested on reasoning for decision-making applied to vehicle navigation and on the validation of autonomous vehicles to make them acceptable by society.
