As the process industry continues to digitize and become more interconnected, managing cybersecurity has become a critical aspect of ensuring operational reliability, protecting sensitive information, and preventing cyber attacks. This requires the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures and the adoption of a comprehensive cybersecurity management strategy that considers the unique characteristics and challenges of the process industry.
Sharul A Rashid has 30 years of experience in managing, leading, troubleshooting diverse range of Instrumentation & Control issues in refinery(PP(T)SB), gas liquefaction(MLNG), PetChem(PCARO) & gas pipeline transmission(PGB-GTR). As Instrument project engineer /lead engineer at e.g. Kertih Compressor, PGU Metering, Y2K Project Manager for PGB-GTR, MLNG1 Rejuv. & MLNG2 Debottlenecking. Joined OPI MLNG team (McKenzie’s Consultant-Led) as part of Company’s transformation. Appointed as MLNG Business Performance Improvement Mgr before moving to PP(T)SB as TP/TM. Steered PP(T)SB as IChem Malaysia Global Award Winner 2018 in Process Safety, which qualified for International IChem Global Award in Manchester, UK. Participated in HSE, Functional Safety, Quality and Reliability & Competency building e.g. HSE Mgmt System Assurance Audits (Engen Refinery, MTBE, PCOGD, SBA Semarang Platform, CUF, MRCSB). He participated in Instrumented Protective Function (IPF) Study for MLNG3 at Yokohama and IPF Facilitator for PP(T)SB’s IPF sessions.
